Oloroso wine, is an aromatic variety of sherry made in Spain. Casks that had previously been used to hold Oloroso are often used by Whisky makers to give a specific twist and unique texture to their whisky. Inspired by this very process, we wanted to introduce a similar twist into our own range of JN guitars, whilst also bringing in the Spanish element to what was initially a steel-string guitar. By taking a scaled down Auditorium body and pairing it with the sweet tone of nylon strings and dedicated classical bracing, the result is truly unique. It also features a slimmer neck profile which allows you to comfortably play any style. The JN Oloroso. A new flavor in your collection!

The Yakisugi line features a unique doghair finish, reminding us the beautiful effect that Yakisugi technic gives to the wood. The ancestral Japanese method is used to preserve wood, and specifically used by Whisky barrel makers, it gives substance and flavor during maturation process ; same as dog hair finish which, by his beauty, will help you to create your own sound universe !
For whisky makers, choosing a cask is crucial : its size and wood type determine the smell, the taste, the attack and sustain of the whisky. This explains why there are so many varieties of whisky. At J.N Guitars, we believe that producing whisky and making a guitar are similar crafts as the shape of the body and the selected wood species give the instrument a specific sound and character. CASK therefore emerged as an obvious name for our Cigar Box Guitars.

When people think of acoustic guitars, a dreadnought is usually the first thing that springs to mind. The most popular and recognisable design, this style of guitar is as comfortable for rhythm as it is for flat-picking. These models deliver a great bass sound and crystal-sharp high notes, with great projection!
Smaller in size than it's dreadnought cousin, auditorium style acoustic guitars offer equal measures of comfort and functionality, without losing projection. Popular among folk players, these models are perfect for finger-picking and can find their way around every register to achieve great presence.
This small bodied acoustic guitar is back in vogue due to the return of the indie-folk scene. The format is surprising due to its projection and tonal colour. A nice, slightly compressed sound is achieved that is perfect for accompanying blues and roots folk.
As implied by the name, 'traveler' acoustic guitars were initially intended for musicians who are often on the road, but in recent times have become increasingly popular, alongside parlor models, within the indie folk scene. Don't let the size fool you, this guitar is as much a real instrument as any, with it's own unique identity!
The mini-jumbo is (aptly) a smaller-bodied alternative to the jumbo acoustic, but with the same flexibility. With great balance and deep tone, but with less bulk, mini-jumbos are highly favoured for stage work and offer a varied tone which can suit all styles of playing.
Big size, big projection! Jumbo acoustic guitars are extremely flexible and achieve deep, warm bass tones while maintaining sweet, sharp high notes. These models are sometimes less favourable due to their larger bulky size!
Orchestra' is a great alternative to the auditorium shape due to it's slimmer body, and is also an excellent crossover model between Parlour and Auditorium in terms of tone and resonance. It has enough versatility to be tight and well-rounded for bluesy riffwork, while maintaining it's ability to be balanced and powerful when strummed!
We wanted to pay tribute to the Cigar Box Guitar, an iconic musical instrument. The original design and specific scale length of these guitars give them a unique sound and temper. Their peculiarity also comes from the number of strings – four for the CASK – which allows to easily explore numerous alternate tunings.
